Win a fantastic 2-night European break in association with Melia Hotels International

All this week, Head for Points will be running an exciting competition in association with Melia Hotels International.
The prize is a 2-night weekend stay at any Melia Hotels International property of your choice in Europe.
A bit about Melia
In the UK, Melia is probably best known for the ‘ME by Melia’ hotel on The Strand. Designed by Sir Norman Foster, it opened in 2012 and quickly became known for its rooftop bar:
Over by Regents Park, Melia also runs the Melia White House, an attractive art deco-style business hotel:
Melia is also bringing its contemporary 4-star INNSiDE brand to the UK with a property in Manchester currently under construction.
Melia runs 350 hotels globally. It is the largest hotel group in its home market, Spain, where it has over 180 properties. The core brands are:
Gran Melia – generally 5-star properties
INNSiDE – four star contemporary hotels
Melia – traditional mid-market properties
ME by Melia – luxury ‘lifestyle’ hotels
…. along with holiday brands Sol Hotels, Paradisus Resorts and Club Melia.
What can you win?
We are giving away a 2-night weekend stay (Friday & Saturday or Saturday & Sunday) for two people, with breakfast, at any Melia Hotels International property in Europe. The only exceptions are the hotels in Paris, unfortunately, which are not participating.
Melia will do their best to meet the dates requested by the winner, subject to the dates not clashing with any special events in the hotel or city requested.
You must be over 18 and a UK resident (excluding Northern Ireland, unfortunately, due to their lottery laws) to enter.
How do you win?
It is very simple!
All you need to do is go to the Melia hotel directory here and decide which European hotel you would like to stay at. Possible one of the contemporary ME properties in London, Ibiza, Madrid or Mallorca? Perhaps the five-star Melia in Rome?
Leave a comment on this post which includes these two items:
a) the last three characters of your home UK postal code, and
b) the name of the hotel you would like to stay at
Make sure that you put a valid email address on the comment form – but not directly in the comment itself – so that we can contact you if you win.
Entries are limited to one per household. The winner will need to provide a postal address which corresponds with the postal code given in their entry.
The competition will run from 7am on Monday 28th April and close at midnight UK time on Friday 2nd May. The winner will be picked at random and contacted by email. If the winner does not respond to the email within 48 hours, I will select another winner.
The other rules
For legal reasons, the competition is only open to residents of the United Kingdom, excluding Northern Ireland. I apologise to the 20% of HFP readers who live outside the UK, and especially to those who live in Northern Ireland!
There is no cash alternative to the prize and the prize is not transferable. Entrants must be aged 18 years or over. The winner can choose from any European Melia Hotels International property, except those in Paris, subject to a suitable date being available. The winner is not obliged to stay at the hotel they named when entering. The prize needs to be taken during 2014. Flights and other travel costs, apart from two nights accommodation and breakfast, are the responsibility of the winner.
Under UK law, I am obliged to make the name of the winner available on request. The promoter of the competition is Head for Points, contact details available on request. The email details you submit will not be shared with Melia (unless you win!) and Head for Points will not use them for any other purpose.
Good luck!
