Use your Hilton HHonors points to buy a Priority Pass airport lounge card

I wrote last week about the half-price Priority Pass available (still available) via Amazon Local. This costs £34 instead of £68 and gets you airport lounge access for £15 per visit.
(Priority Pass is an independent network of over 600 airport lounges across the world, although there is nothing in Heathrow Terminal 5!)
The company has now partnered with Hilton HHonors to offer you the chance to redeem your Hilton points for a Priority Pass!
It is not a fantastic deal, though. Here are the rates and the standard UK price:
- 36,500 HHonors Points = Standard Membership (£69)
- 101,500 HHonors Points = Standard Plus Membership (£159)
- 161,500 HHonors Points = Prestige Membership (£259)
Standard Membership requires a £15 fee per visit and is the card than Amazon Local was selling. Standard Plus includes your first 10 lounge visits. Prestige includes unlimited lounge visits.
(Oddly, the version you get free with an American Express Platinum card is even better than the Prestige one, since that also allows you to bring a guest for free.)
Following the devaluation, I tend to value Hilton points at around 0.3p, although you can do better. This offer values them at well under 0.2p, which is terrible value for money.
Obviously, if you have huge numbers of Hilton HHonors points and no plans to use them, this does give you another option. For that reason alone, this offer should be welcomed. However, I would think twice before using it.
The Hilton press release is here. You will see that they are also offering a handful of Hilton points if you pay for a Priority Pass at full retail price.

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards (April 2025)
There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit and debit cards. Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.
There are two dedicated Hilton Honors debit cards. These are especially attractive when spending abroad due to the 0% or 0.5% FX fee, depending on card.
You also receive FREE Hilton Honors status for as long as you hold the debit cards – Gold status with the Plus card and Silver status with the basic card. This is a great reason to apply even if you rarely use it.
We reviewed the Hilton Honors Plus Debit Card here and the Hilton Honors Debit Card here.
You can apply for either card here.
SPECIAL OFFER: Until 30th April 2025, the annual fee on the basic Hilton Honors debit card is halved from £60 to £30. The sign-up bonus is also easier to earn – you need to spend £1,000 either in the UK or abroad within three months. The usual bonus rule requires you to spend the full £1,000 outside the UK.
