Marriott is offering a bonus of 1,500 Avios points if you book a ‘UK Weekend Romance’ package before Christmas. You can stay as little as one night if you include a Friday or a Saturday.

The list of participating properties does not, to be honest, fill me with the mood for romance.

You may need that champagne and cocktails if planning a romantic weekend in Bexleyheath, Aberdeen, Gatwick Airport (!), Leicester, Peterborough or Northampton, although there are also some more attractive places included.
