Priority Club Black Visa – a small but very useful improvement

Sometimes it is the little things that are important!
The Priority Club Black Visa credit card is not a bad one to get, especially as there is a link on the ‘Credit Cards Update‘ page for 40,000 points as a sign-up bonus. That is 80% of a free night at their poshest hotels, and up to 8 free nights during a PointBreaks promotion!
You also get Platinum status for your stays at Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Indigo etc properties.
The card also gives you a free night at any of their hotels when you spend £10,000 in a year. This is worth £250 if used in the InterContinental hotels in New York, Paris, London etc – although you need to deduct the £99 annual fee when considering the value of this voucher.
A couple of days ago, Priority Club launced a new feature. You can now redeem your free night online. Click on ‘Manage Account’ after logging in, and you’ll see ‘Free Night Status’ in the left hand menu. There is a button there to click to book.
Previously you had to ring Priority Club to make the booking.
Why is this especially cool? Well, you might, like me, sign up your (different sex to you) partner for cards. And you might have trouble persuading your wife of the value of your crazy schemes and to ring up Priority Club and make the booking, and you can’t really impersonate her on the telephone.
Now you’re sorted – you can book online from their account, and they won’t know a thing about it!
